astelo Branco, district capital, located in the central region of Portugal, in Beira Interior Sul, in the former province of Beira Baixa and in the Intermunicipal Community of Beira Baixa. It is the seat of the third largest Portuguese municipality, with an area of 1438.19 km² and 56,109 inhabitants (albicastrenses). The municipality is limited to the north by the municipality of Fundão, to the east by Idanha-a-Nova, to the south by Spain, to the southwest by Vila Velha de Ródão and to the west by Proença-a-Nova and Oleiros.

To talk about higher education and to leave the academic spirit out would not be correct. It is the academic spirit that makes the time you will spend here at IPCB unforgettable. The tunas, the costumes, the traditions, the festivals and festivals, the latada and the burning. It’s these small details that make these years, which you will now begin, the best time of your life. The companionship that is cultivated in class time is taken to the streets and to the nights. But not forgetting that there is time for bohemian academic life, but also for applied study.
