he School of Applied Arts (ESART) has a diversity of bilateral agreements signed with some of the most prestigious higher education institutions based in several European countries: Germany, Italy, Spain, Finland, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Slovakia, Poland, Turkey, Romania, in institutions as prestigious as Bauhaus-Universität Weimar (Germany), Politecnico di Milano, Università degli Studi di Roma “La Sapienza” (Italy) and which cover all the training areas taught at ESART.

In turn, the mobility of teaching staff has translated into close contacts with teachers from other European institutions, which allows the improvement of cooperation relations, the sharing of teaching methodologies and different practices adopted, as well as the realization of international projects.

The mobility flow of ESART students and teachers, as well as of foreign students studying at ESART and also of foreign teachers visiting us, has been growing significantly as a result of an internationalisation policy, well defined by ESART in permanent articulation with the International Relations Office of the Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco.

he second cycle internship is privileged as a specialization activity, with the purpose of formally starting students in the professional practice of design, creating space, time for the production of knowledge and development of skills, attitudes and values, as well as facilitating the development of basic skills, integrating information, methods and techniques necessary for solving problems in the design project.

It is also intended to stimulate the creation of habits of reflection on the professional practice of design, from the perspective of understanding the problems emerging from work contexts and also to contribute to the development of multidisciplinary attitudes and collaboration with the different actors involved in design processes

 

The objectives of the Master’s Internship are the acquisition of essential skills to the student’s exercise of the design profession, being able to integrate the labour market and effectively perform the tasks entrusted to him; Interconnection of knowledge acquired by the student who must integrate progressively in the dynamics of planning, execution and evaluation, seeking innovation in the exercise of his functions as a designer.

It is also considered as an internship objective to learn how to select and apply the methodologies and techniques of conception and investigation useful to Design projects, as well as the development of tasks and design projects, individually and/or in teams, to develop an attitude of permanent investigation in their activity, boosting methods, processes, strategies, and project techniques, in an integrated, informed and current perspective; Develop a professional attitude guided by deontological values and for continuous and specialized training.
